NYS Paid Sick Leave Act

After passing the Covid-19 Paid Leave law, NYS lawmakers also passed the NYS Paid Sick Leave Act. Under the act, which goes into effect September 30, 2020, almost all employers will be required to provide job-protected, paid sick leave to all employees, regardless of the number of hours they work.

We are advising all our NYS clients to review their current sick leave policy to make sure you are in compliance with the new guidelines.
