Election day is right around the corner. It is important to communicate voting time off policy to employees.
In some states such as New York and California, it is mandatory to post a notice. Some states have their own voting time off regulations. Is your state on the list?
Even if your state does not have voting leave regulations, it is good practice to set your own policy to allow time off for voting. Most states that do not have a policy allow a two-hour window. Some paid and some unpaid depending on the scenario.
We are happy to help you with creating and/or updating your policy. If you have any questions, please contact your client service representative.
